I am a college student, am I still eligible for the student rate? Do I need to show a student ID when I pick up my race packet?

All students, regardless of grade level are eligible for the student rate of $15.00.

Is there an "early bird discount" for registration?

Yes! There is an early bird discount of $5 ($30 registration fee) for those who register before June 22nd, 2018. After that date, the fee is $35. The student rate is always $15.

I won't be able to run after all, can I get a refund?

There are no refunds. Any and all money received is a donation to El Toro High School and we really appreciate it.

So, why do you want my cell phone number?

We are able to send you a text message with your race time within seconds of your crossing the finish line, but only if you give us your cell number in order to send the text message. You don't have to provide a cell number, but if you don't then you won't receive the instant update. If you choose to provide a cell number, we'll also need to know your carrier name (i.e., Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc.) Text message time notifications are only available to those who register by July 3rd. Data rates apply.

A couple years ago I got stiffed for the swell commemorative t-shirt. Is that going to happen again?

Probably not. The Lake Forest Chargers 5K Run/Walk is a fundraiser in support of El Toro High School. T-shirts cost money to have printed. As much as we would like everyone to have one (because we know how special they are), we try to order just enough to go around on race day. On rare occasions we cut it a little too close and run out. Sorry about that. The best way to make sure you get yours is to register early so we can get an accurate count when we order the shirts. Everyone who registers before the end of June deadline is guaranteed to get a shirt. People who wait until race day may miss out.
